AeroTrial is a Clinical Research Study in the Treatment of Asthma
AeroTrial is a Phase IIb clinical evaluation of a new investigational therapy called AEROVANT™. AEROVANT is designed to halt the cascade of events that lead to an asthma attack by treating the disease at its root, not just the symptoms. By using a medication based on a protein occurring naturally in the body, AeroTrial seeks a non-steroidal solution to getting control of asthma.

AeroTrial will be recruiting approximately 500 patients with asthma from 86 clinical centers across the United States, United Kingdom, Poland, Hungary and Germany. The trial will require participants to attend 9 clinic visits over 17 weeks to receive medication (either AEROVANT or placebo) and have medical tests to evaluate their asthma symptoms. The study will also require patients to record their lung function and symptoms daily using a small electronic handheld diary. Participants in the study will be provided free medical care and asthma medications as related to the study. They also will be reimbursed for their travel time and inconvenience.

AeroTrial is registered with the FDA on www.clinicaltrials.gov website.
